Children Minister

Responsibilities: 

• To lead and equip a volunteer team in developing a multifaceted children ministry ranging from 6 months to 6th grade

Qualifications:

• Ability to speak fluent English is required, ability to speak Mandarin/Cantonese is desirable.
• One with spiritual gifts of teaching, administration and leadership.
• A mature Christian who maintains a personal devotional life, is knowledgeable of Biblical principles and their application to life, and is already actively involved in ministering to others as a Christian role model.
• A servant-leader that can develop close team relationships with staff and volunteer members, and enable them to serve others effectively.
• One with vision, enthusiasm, and creativity for ministry to children and their families.
• An experienced leader who can recruit, train, motivate, and supervise others for ministry to children.
• A baccalaureate degree (minimum), preferably in a subject area related to children education.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Salary is set by the Finance Department within budgetary guidelines and consistent with applicant’s education/experience.
• Benefits include vacation, holidays, sick leave, health insurance, retirement allocation, professional development funds and ministry expense account.

Brief description of Dallas Chinese Bible Church (DCBC)

DCBC was founded in 1968.  It was the first Chinese church in the Dallas Metroplex Area.  We presently have three worship services in Cantonese, English and Mandarin respectively. 

We believe the Bible was inspired by God and is inerrant.  It is the supreme and final authority for faith and practice.  We believe in the Triune God, who eternally exists in three Persons - God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.  We believe in Jesus Christ, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of Virgin Mary, and was sinless all through His life. He was crucified on the cross for the sins of mankind and is our Savior. We believe in the imminent rapture of believers, and after the rapture, the earth will enter into the seven-year Tribulation period.  At the end, the Lord will return with His saints.  We also believe that all the redeemed, once saved, are kept by God’s power, forever secured in Christ.
