Day 2′s theme was The Relationship Broken. Our Bible Point of the day is that Sin messed everything up, but God is still in control, and our daily Bible Verse is Genesis 3.
Preschool kids craft “moon rocks” using sparkly play-doh with supervision from their helpers.
We concluded like we always do, with a discussion and reflection about what we’ve learned today.
Thanks to every camper for such an exciting second day!
See you tomorrow,

“He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For everything is created by Him, in heaven and on earth, the visible and the invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities–all things have been create through Him and for Him.” Colossians 1:15-16.
Welcome to VBS 2017! This year, our campers are searching the visible and discovering the invisible to better understand the power of Jesus Christ.
Today was the first day of camp.
Campers began their day by listening to Teacher Camellia talk about today’s theme at VBS – The Relationship Begins. Today’s bible point was that the God who created everything wants a relationship with us. The verses of the day are Genesis 1:1-2,26-31 and John 1:1 and 14.
Campers participate in arts and crafts, decorating their backpacks and T-shirts.
Thanks to parents and campers for a wonderful first day!
See you tomorrow,
The VBS Team.

Theme: “Galactic Starveyors: Discovering the God of the Universe!”
Date: July 17-21, M-F
Time: Monday-Friday (9 AM- 12:15 PM)
Ages: 4 yrs old- 6th grade (as of September 1, 2017)
This year at VBS we are going to explore the universe that God created for us! He created everything we see and still it was missing something. Galactic Starveyor VBS is filled with incredible Bible-learning experiences kids see, hear, touch, and even taste! Exploratory crafts, team-building games, cool songs, and tasty treats are just a few of the standout activities that help faith flow into real life. Plus, we’ll help kids discover how to see evidence of God in everyday life–something we call God Sightings. Get ready to hear that phrase a lot!
Parents, grandparents, and friends are invited to join us at Closing Ceremony for each day at 11:50am!
“Our great power is from God, not from ourselves.” 2 Corinthians 4:7 Wow. What a week it’s been. Through hours of praise, Bible stories, and snacks, today you finally got to be a part of the action! We hope you had as much fun as we did at VBS Cave Quest 2016. So without further ado, let’s dive into today’s snapshots!
Today, was Family VBS where we had parents join us for the fun! Here are today’s snapshots:
Finally, special thanks to all the teams who made this week possible!
And finally, to our Missions Glow Worm, Sherry!
As Winston Churchill once said, “This is not the end. This is not even the beginning of the end. This is perhaps, the end of the beginning.” Throughout all the fun we have had this week, it is important to remember that we, and the kids, must continue our journey with God. Please continue to pray for the families whose homes are being re-built thanks to your gracious donations and, closer to home, please pray for the children that they may continue on their path to righteousness. Please remember to join us at 10:00 AM on Sunday to see the children perform a live concert! And, for the final this week, thank you for another great day at VBS Cave Quest 2016, and may God be with you. Kind regards, The DCBC VBS team
“We know what real love is because Jesus gave up his life for us.” 1 John 3:16

Tomorrow is the last day for donations in VBS, so please help us make one final push towards our goal of $400 (enough to build a home for one family)! PC Audrey Wong

Thank you all for another great success at Cave Quest VBS 2016! Don’t forget that tomorrow’s VBS starts at 6:30 pm and dinner starts at 5:30 pm. Also, don’t forget to bring the whole family for a night of singing, playing, and fellowship. Please also keep the Kid-to-Kid project in your minds and in your prayers. May God bless you.

This year at Cave Quest VBS, DCBC is partnering with Operation Kid-to-Kid “to provide basic home repairs for families who don’t have a safe place to play, sleep, study, live, and grow.” Operation Kid-to-Kid focuses on enabling kids to make a difference to those in need. To accomplish this goal, we encourage children to donate money to help provide resources for those without shelter. PC: Joseph Jiang
